Ms Dhoni has been removed as a captain of IPL team Rising Pune Supergaints.The IPL team Rising Pune Supergiants management has appointed Australia Skipper Steve smith as the captain of Rising Pune Supergiants.In this the IPL is scheduled to be start from April 5. The decision of the change in the captaincy of Pune Team comes before a day of the IPL 2017 player auctions to be held in Bengaluru.As we know that Ms Dhoni has resigned from the captaincy of the Indian ODI and T20I teams in this year in the month of January and Virat kohli is appointed as captain in all three formats.

“I have the highest regard for MS Dhoni as a leader and a person. Dhoni will continue to be an important part of our team. He is supportive of the decision keeping the franchise’s best interests in mind,” Rising Pune Supergiants owner Sanjiv Goenka said in a media release.
He said that Dhoni he is the wicketkeeper batsmen and he has been the skipper of an IPL team in all the past nine seasons .He led Chennai super Kings from year 2008 to 2015 and then took charge of Pune Supergiants in the year 2016 and after the Chennai franchise has been suspended.
“Dhoni has not stepped down. We have appointed Steve Smith as the skipper for the upcoming season. Frankly speaking, we did not have a good last season and we wanted someone young to lead the side and revamp it ahead of the upcoming season 10,” Goenka was quoted as saying by PTI.
MS Dhoni former India skipper scored only 284 runs in 14 matches in his lowest in an IPL season with only one half century in his name .In the last year Ms Dhoni had five not outs and that helped to bump his average to 40.57.

Ms Dhoni he overall he played 143 IPL matches and he scored 3271 runs and at an average of 39.40 and strike rate of 138.95.
